Our three stone villas are tucked into a quiet and private corner of Old Skala, surrounded by lush greenery and fragrant plants. Each villa boasts panoramic views of the Ionian Sea and Kefalonian hills, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in nature while enjoying complete privacy. Despite the tranquil setting, the villas are just a short walk or drive from Skala village, combining serenity with convenient access to the local shops, restaurants, and beach. Sunrise and twilight paint the landscape in magical colors, making every moment at the villas unforgettable.

Although each villa offers complete seclusion, all three are situated within the same area and can be booked together for groups seeking a shared getaway. A car is recommended to explore the nearby beaches and charming villages at your own pace.

OLD SKALA

Old Skala is the original village of the area, once perched high on the hillside for safety and visibility, long before the coastline became home to the modern settlement. After the major 1953 earthquake, the old village was abandoned and slowly reclaimed by nature. Today, Old Skala is a peaceful, rural landscape of stone paths, olive groves, restored houses, and gentle ruins that whisper stories of the past.

It’s a place ideal for quiet walks, exploring remains of old homes, small churches, and traditional farming structures. With no shops or nightlife, Old Skala keeps its sense of authenticity, offering tranquillity, open views, and a glimpse into Kefalonia as it once was.

Skala (The Modern Village)

A short drive from the villas lies Skala, the lively coastal village that grew after the 1953 earthquake. Today, it's one of Kefalonia’s most welcoming destinations, offering everything visitors may need, restaurants, cafés, beach bars, supermarkets, shops, and essentials like pharmacies and ATMs.

Skala retains a relaxed island atmosphere: evenings are mellow and full of life, with people strolling along the seaside road, enjoying dinner outdoors, or exploring local boutiques. It’s the perfect complement to the peaceful hillside setting of Old Skala, close enough for convenience, but far enough to preserve the villas’ privacy and quiet.

Skala Beach

Skala Beach stretches for kilometres along the southeast coast, offering a blend of soft sand, small pebbled coves, and impossibly clear water. Whether you prefer organised spots with sunbeds and water sports or quieter corners to escape with a book, the beach has something for every mood.

The sea is calm and inviting, ideal for swimming, snorkelling, or simply relaxing under the sun. With its spacious shoreline and stunning natural backdrop, Skala Beach is one of the island’s most beloved places to spend the day and the closest beach to the villas.
